London – July 18, 2014 – Providence Group successfully participated in the International Farnborough Air Show, which takes place near London every two years and brings together all the industry's players across the globe to showcase the latest technological innovations. This year, the show took place from July 14th to July 20th.
As a member of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC), Providence Group joined more than 500 other Canadian companies, who were part of the Canadian aerospace pavilion and displaying their innovations and services.
Providence Group represented the Public Joint Stock Corporation “FED,” a Ukrainian aerospace company that specializes in all types of hydraulics units, light-weight Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), flight control systems and full authority digital engine control (FADEC) systems.
Providence Group set up several specialized B2B meetings for the Corporation FED with the Italian Finmeccanica, which is the second largest industrial group in the world and the largest hi-tech industrial group in the world; Bombardier (one of the largest plane manufacturer in the world) Aerospace Belfast and Commercial Aircraft Divisions; President of AIAC, Mr. Jim Quick; SAAB – Sweden’s international multi-vectored military and civil concern; Nebtesco – Japanese giant in development of actuators and Satair - a world leading supplier of aircraft parts and service solutions for aircraft maintenance and Thales Canada, a world leader in avionics and flight control systems. All meetings were constructive and common interests were found and discussed.
In addition, Providence Group facilitated a meeting between Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec , Hon. Denis Lebel and Mr. Victor Popov, Chairman of Corporation FED. According to Mr. Daoust, "Ukraine has a special place for Canada and Quebec."
“Meetings with commercial and political leaders in the aerospace industry were groundbreaking in nature because they significantly have bridged the gap with international organizations that have a serious interest in working with the Corporation FED,” said Taras Paslavskyi, Director of International Relations of Providence Group.
