Paris – 15-19 June 2015 – As part of the Canadian aerospace delegation, Providence Group took part in the 51st International Paris Air Show 2015, which is the largest aerospace, space, civil and military show in the world. Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC), of which Providence Group is a member, organized and headed this delegation.
Providence Group exhibited a stand in the Canadian Showcase Pavilion, Hall 3 – D80. At the stand, Providence Group represented FED Corporation, a Ukrainian Tier 1 integrator that specializes in flight and engine control systems, hydraulic systems, integrated drive generators (IDGs), nano technology and in technology of “more electric” (FADEC) engines.
“By exhibiting at the Canadian Pavilion, FED’s goal is to enter the Western, including North and South American markets. Canada is an ideal partner in this goal because it already has signed multiple free trade agreements with the US, European Union, several South American countries, and in the process of negotiating a similar agreement with Ukraine,” said Volodymyr Paslavskyi, President and CEO of Providence Group.
At the show, Providence Group facilitated and followed up on several important B2B meetings from the last Paris Air Show 2013 and Farnborough Air Show 2014 and other events. Providence Group organized important meetings for the Ukrainian FED Corporation with Italian “Seconda Mona,” Spanish “CESA,” Danish “Satair Group,” the US “Ipsen,” Argentine “FAdeA.” FED leaders also held talks with Minister of Economic Development of Ontario – Hon. Brad Duguid , a Member of the Board of the Automotive Association of Canada - Mr. Joe Loparco, Chairman of Committee on Investments in the City of Toronto, Canada - Mike Thompson and President of the Council for Economic Development in Rockford, USA - Mr. Mike Nicholson.
A B2B meeting with UTC Aerospace Systems from Rockford, USA was among top highlights of the event. During this meeting, Providence Group facilitated UTC’s proposal to manufacture “build-to-print” ram air turbine (RAT) components, in which FED has expertise as a Component OEM. RAT connects to a hydraulic pump or electrical generator and is used as a power source. This B2B meeting was built on the previous meeting in November 2014. The B2B meeting concluded with agreement to cooperate in this area.
“Honeywell and UTC hold monopoly on RATs. The fact that UTC is interested to work with FED on RAT testifies to the ability of FED, as well as, Providence Group in properly representing Ukrainian companies in a very competitive North and South American markets,” stated Mr. Paslavskyi.
