Providence Group Raises Canada Business Profile in Ukraine

17 September 2015 - Toronto - Providence Group participated in VII International Economic Forum
"Innovations. Investments. Kharkiv Initiatives!" that took place on September 4, 2015 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The Forum was organized by the Government of Kharkiv Region.

At the Forum, Providence Group was instrumental in laying the grounds for signing the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kharkiv Region State Administration and Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce.

Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine, Roman Waschuk and his Embassy staff have also participated in the Forum. Providence Group outlined to the Ambassador Waschuk potential business opportunities for the Canadian aerospace companies in Ukraine. Prior to the Forum, Providence Group also initiated a business meeting between the Embassy and the oldest Ukrainian space corporation, "Kommunar," a company that manufactures control systems for rockets-carriers and spacecrafts.

Annually the Forum brings together industry and business leaders from Ukraine, Europe and North America. It generates mass attention from the national and regional media outlets. Providence Group was honoured to be invited by the Kharkiv Regional TV channel to provide its summative analysis of the Forum in the light of Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA). For the full interview and outlook on the future business opportunities for the Canadian and Ukrainian companies, please see: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyHfH7m8tW0&feature=em-upload_owner.

"There is a great potential in Kharkiv Region for establishing business relations with Canadian companies, particularly in the aerospace, IT, agricultural and educational sectors. CUFTA provides a solid umbrella for doing business with Canada, and Ukrainian companies should use it vigorously. Unfortunately, the businesses in Kharkiv Region and in other parts of Ukraine are slow in understanding how they can use it. But this is exactly where Providence Group comes into the game. We know precisely how to help Canadian and Ukrainian companies alike to be successful as they are entering new markets, respectively," Providence Group.
