"This is a great opportunity for Canadian colleges, universities and other industries in international business, tourism and hospitality to demonstrate their leading role in these areas. This is extremely important, especially on the eve of Euro Soccer Cup that Ukraine will host in the Summer of 2012. Further, Ukraine will be placing a bid to host Winter Olympic Games 2022, and Canadian businesses and educational institutions can be central for providing expertise to Ukraine during this time. Canada should secure this market of opportunities" commented, Taras Paslavskyi, a member of the Board of Directors, of Young Professionals and Skilled Workers Association.

The main goals of this visit are to support in Ukraine the development of democracy, human rights and the rule of law, and also to advance the Canadian economy by furthering the talks on Free Trade Agreement between Canada and Ukraine.

During the last 4 years Canada has signed 8 Free Trade Agreements and 50 are on the way.
